We had ten eligible voters this year. Three of them, Steve Hartzell, Danny and Joe did not vote. == Below are the Voting Results of the Proposals.
Proposal One -- by Jim -- This proposal is to eliminate our Minor League Draft. The thinking behind this is that when a Minor Leaguer is brought up, it eliminates a lot of the fun and strategy from the game since 11 of the top Minor Leaguers are eliminated from the bidding process as they have been Drafted. None of our teams have Drafted Minor Leaguers on them at the present time.

Vote to either Eliminate Minor Draft or Keep Minor Draft. ==The vote to Eliminate won by a vote of 4 to 3. Voting to Eliminate were Doug, Gaurav/Stephen, Wes and Jim.

Proposal Two -- by Jim -- This is a proposal to keep the FAAB turned on at all times. It will run every night. The only change from our present method would be bidding a $0 (zero) for DL / ML replacement players. If two bid $0 (zero) on the same player, the tiebreak format that is normally used in the FAAB would decide who gets the player. If one owner bids $0 (zero) and another bids an amount higher, of course the higher bid would win the player. This is the basic outline of the rule change. Below are the exact rules we would use.

A) DL and ML replacement players would be picked up with a $0 (zero dollar) bid. This would be a free move. The DL / ML replacement and the DL / ML player would be linked and have the same salary just as our present rule.

B) If you bid to replace a DL / ML player with an amount higher than zero, it would count as one of your twelve moves and the players would not be linked just as our present rule.

C) If you bid zero and drop a player, it would be an illegal move and it would be reversed. The move would not count. -- The only exception to this is if an Active Link Player goes on the DL. He must be dropped just as our present rule.

D) In order to assure you get a DL / ML replacement player in the first available FAAB run, you may bid on more than one replacement player using the same DL / ML player in all of your bids. The CBS system will process the bid at the top of the ADD/DROP page first then to the second, etc.

E) If this rule passes, the two day wait for picking up players new to the league as DL / ML replacements would be eliminated since all players are being bid on.

F) Our present rule says that September 15 will be the last day to start the FAAB. -- If this passes, the last time to pickup players, other than $0 players, will be in the September 16 at 12:07AM CT FAAB run. The FAAB will still stay on after this date, but only DL / ML Replacement players may be picked up using a $0 bid.

Vote FOR or AGAINST leaving the FAAB on at all times. == The vote to leave the FAAB on at all times won by a vote of 6 to 1. Voting to leave it on were Doug, Steve Walker, Gary, Gaurav/Stephen, Wes and Jim.

Proposal Three -- by Danny -- This proposal is to change the WIN category to QUALITY STARTS. Changing this would reward pitchers who are on teams with bad hitters.

Vote Yes to change the category and vote No to keep things as they are. == The vote to keep the Win Category won by a vote of 6 to 1. Voting to keep Wins were Doug, Steve Walker, Frank, Gaurav/Stephen, Wes and Jim.
